Main goals

  • Analyze, select and adapt appropriate resources to supplement a course textbook in and out of the classroom
  • Create curriculum-based online experiences for better EFL learning
  • Use authentic written and oral texts for integrated language practice and communication in and out of the classroom

Lesson 1: Getting to know each other, course overview, establishing assessment events

Lesson 2: Online identity and environments: revisiting a teacher’s role and her accountability when creating teaching/learning contexts.

Lesson 3: Digital learning objects: curriculum-based selection, adaptation, and creation.

Lesson 4: Managing resources: organizing learning tools with a purpose.

Lesson 5: Ethical issues to consider: copyright, privacy, public display, power & democracy in education.

Lesson 6: Social networks:  a connected classroom, what does it take? Wrapping it all up.
